Coach Expectations
It's almost time, I'm glad we aren't starting practice until next week - gosh it's hot out there!

As a coach you have a responsibility to make this a great experience for the kids and carry on the positive reputation of the Duck Creek Pop Warner League, so please remeber the following guidelines.

  1. Be a living example of sportsmanship, fair play and a positive role model for players both on and off the field.
  2. Use of profane language or negative discipline on or off the field in unacceptable and will be dealt with by the board as necessary.
  3. Treat players and parents with fairness, respect and courtesy.
  4. Treat referees, opponent players, opponent coaches and opponent parents with respect and courtesy at all times
  5. Accept referee decisions with minimal argument while protecting player safety. State facts professionally and maintain self-control at all times.
  6. Accept the results of each game and encourage players to be gracious in victory and to turn defeat into victory by working towards improvement.
  7. Teach and inspire players: to love the game, to compete fairly within the rules and spirit of the game and to treat teammates with respect. Maintain positive discipline at all times.
  8. Maintain and enhance player self esteem at all times. Encouragement and positive comments shall be the foundation for player growth and development.
  9. State expectations of players and parents clearly follow up as necessary. Communication is your best tool.
  10. Hold players accountable for their commitment to practice, games and their behavior on and off the field.
  11. Assume responsibility for parents’ behavior.

Equipment Pickup Aug 7th
spacer (1K)
Monday August 7th is intended for equipment pickup ONLY. This day is not a practice day, not a tryout day, or a player evaluation day. This day is for parent, and player meetings and equipment pickup.  The time of this event DOES count towards your 10 hour requirement for non-contact practice.
